One job per tool
Clipdrop deliberately splits editing into small tools that each do one thing well. The skill is diagnosis: naming what is wrong with your image, then picking the tool with that name.
Erase objects
Brush over anything unwanted, a stray cable, a photobomber, a logo, and Clipdrop fills the space with plausible background. Tight brushing beats generous brushing.
Change the lighting
Drag virtual light sources around your photo, set their color and intensity, and the subject is relit convincingly. It rescues flat or badly lit shots without a reshoot.
Extend the frame
Widen an image beyond its original borders and Clipdrop invents consistent surroundings. The fix for photos shot in the wrong aspect ratio for where they need to go.
What you will do in the lesson
You answer and try things. Nobody demonstrates at you for five minutes.
- Diagnose before you edit. You look at flawed images and name the problem first, wrong object, wrong light, wrong frame, because the diagnosis picks the tool.
- Clean up with a tight brush. You erase an object and compare careful masking against sloppy masking on the same photo.
- Relight a flat photo. You add a light source, move it around, and watch a dull image become a deliberate one.
- Uncrop for a new format. You extend a portrait shot to landscape and inspect the invented regions for seams.
- Chain two tools. You run a cleanup and then a relight in sequence, the small pipeline that most real fixes need.
Before you start
Why separate tools instead of one big editor?
Because each tool can be immediate: no layers, no settings maze, just one operation done well. For the large share of edits that are really one problem, that is faster than opening a full editor.

Can Clipdrop generate images from scratch?
It has included text-to-image generation alongside the editing tools, but editing is where it stands out. This lesson focuses on the fix-a-real-photo workflow, which is what people come back for.
When would I still open Photoshop?
When an edit needs layers, masks, typography, or precise compositing. Clipdrop covers the frequent, shallow edits in seconds; Photoshop covers the rare, deep ones. Knowing which kind you are holding is the real time-saver.
