Learn Freepik AI in 5 minutes.

Freepik AI bolts a full generative suite onto one of the largest stock libraries on the web: image generation, retouching, upscaling, and video in one place. You will practice choosing between generating and searching, then editing whatever you pick.

Zeteo is taking you through this one. Free, and it runs right here. No signup.

Search it, or generate it?

Freepik is unusual in putting a stock library and a generator behind the same roof. Knowing which route gets you a usable asset faster is a genuinely valuable instinct.

Generate

The image generator

Prompt-based generation with selectable models and styles, including Freepik's own Mystic line for high-realism output. Aspect ratio, style, and color controls sit right beside the prompt.

Retouch

Edit with a selection

Mark a region of any image, yours or stock, and describe what should change: remove the object, swap the background, alter a color. Generative editing without leaving the browser.

Upscale

Enlarge and sharpen

The upscaler raises resolution and can add detail on the way up. Useful for making a small generation or an old asset ready for print or large screens.

What you will do in the lesson

You answer and try things. Nobody demonstrates at you for five minutes.

  1. Race the library against the generator. You hunt for the same visual twice, once by searching stock and once by prompting, and see which route wins for which kind of image.
  2. Prompt with the style controls. You set style and aspect ratio in the controls rather than the sentence, and notice what stops going wrong.
  3. Retouch a stock image. You take an almost right asset and fix the one wrong thing with a selection and a phrase.
  4. Upscale for the destination. You enlarge an image for a specific use and inspect it at full size, where upscaler artifacts like to hide.
  5. Assemble, not just generate. You practice the real Freepik workflow: combining a generated element with library assets into one usable piece.

Before you start

Is this just a stock site with an AI tab?

The integration is the point. You can search, generate, edit, and upscale without switching products, and an almost right stock image plus thirty seconds of Retouch often beats generating from scratch.

Do I need a Freepik account or any software for this lesson?

No. The lesson runs here in the page, free, no signup. Freepik itself works in the browser too, and there is a free way to try its AI tools.

Can I use the AI images commercially?

Freepik's license covers commercial use of AI-generated images within its terms, with attribution rules that depend on your plan. As with any generator, avoid producing trademarks, celebrities, or copyrighted characters.

How does this compare to Canva?

Canva centers on layouts and finished designs, with generation as a helper; Freepik centers on the asset itself, backed by a deep stock library and stronger image models. Many people source and refine visuals in Freepik, then assemble them in Canva.
