The Five Minute Course
Learn Jasper in five minutes.
Jasper is a marketing-focused AI platform built around your brand's voice rather than a blank chat box. You will practice defining a Brand Voice, feeding company facts into its knowledge base, and fanning one brief out into a coordinated set of campaign assets.

Open full screen ↗I. The idea
Generic in, generic out
A model that knows nothing about your company writes like it. Everything distinctive Jasper produces flows from what you load in before you ever type a prompt.
Brand Voice
Jasper learns a voice from sample copy you provide and applies it across everything it generates. Feed it your best published writing, not your style guide PDF; it learns from examples, like people do.
Company knowledge
Product facts, audience descriptions, and messaging docs stored where the model can draw on them. This is the difference between copy that cites your actual features and copy that improvises plausible ones.
Campaigns
One brief fans out into coordinated assets: emails, ads, social posts, landing copy, all sharing the same message and voice. The unit of work stops being the paragraph and becomes the launch.
II. The practice
What you will do in the lesson
You answer and try things. Nobody demonstrates at you for five minutes.
- Write without a voice first. You generate a piece of copy with no brand setup at all, as a baseline. It will be competent and completely interchangeable, which is the lesson.
- Teach it a voice. Then you supply sample copy, regenerate, and compare against the baseline. The delta between the two outputs is what Brand Voice is actually worth.
- Load one fact. You add a single product detail to the knowledge base and catch it showing up in generated copy. Facts in, hallucinations out, at least for the facts you loaded.
- Brief a campaign. One brief, three asset types. You check whether the email, the ad, and the post actually carry the same message, because coordination is the point of the feature.
- Edit like an editor. You go through generated copy and mark what a human must still own: claims, compliance, and the final call on taste. Jasper drafts; someone accountable ships.
III. Notes
Before you start
Is Jasper its own AI model?
Jasper orchestrates leading language models underneath and adds the marketing layer on top: Brand Voice, company knowledge, templates, and campaign workflows. You are buying the layer, not the model.
Will the output automatically be on-brand?
Only as on-brand as the voice samples and knowledge you load, which is why the lesson spends most of its time on setup rather than prompting. Garbage in still applies; so does gold in.
Do I need to install anything for this lesson?
No. The lesson runs in the frame on this page, free, no account required. Jasper itself offers a free way to try it when you want to set up a real Brand Voice.
I already write marketing copy with ChatGPT. Why Jasper?
With ChatGPT you rebuild your brand context in every chat, and it degrades as conversations grow. Jasper persists the voice, the facts, and the campaign structure across your whole team. It is the difference between a talented freelancer with amnesia and a system that remembers your brand.
