Hundreds of stock avatars deliver your script, or a custom avatar of a real colleague made with their consent. Nobody schedules a film crew for a policy update again.

Videos assemble scene by scene, like a deck: script on one side, visuals on the other. Editing scene four never touches scene five, which is what makes maintenance cheap.

What you will do in the lesson
Five clips, already on the track. You answer and try things. Nobody demonstrates at you for five minutes.
- Turn a document into a script. You compress a dense policy page into scenes a presenter can speak. Deciding what the video should not say is most of the work.
- Storyboard in scenes. Split the content so each scene carries exactly one point. Scene discipline is what keeps the video editable a year from now.
- Keep the avatar credible. You adjust phrasing and pace until the delivery stops sounding like text-to-speech reading a memo. Small script changes move believability a long way.
- Localize, then verify. Switch a finished scene into another language and list what a native reviewer must check. Terminology and tone slip even when the words are right.
- Decide what stays human. You sort a training catalog into avatar-appropriate and facilitator-required. Compliance walkthroughs localize well; difficult conversations do not.

Before you start
Is Synthesia only for big companies?
Enterprise training is where it dominates, but nothing about the tool requires scale. Solo consultants use it for client onboarding, and there is a free way to try it before any commitment.
Do I need to install anything for this lesson?
No. This lesson runs in the embedded frame above, free, with no signup and no download. Synthesia itself is fully browser-based as well.
Can the avatar be me?
Yes. Personal avatars are built from footage you record with explicit consent steps, and after that your avatar can present any script you write. Creating an avatar of someone without their participation is not possible.
We already record training in Loom. Why change?
Loom captures a person once; when the process changes, someone re-records. Synthesia makes the video an editable, translatable artifact: fix the script, regenerate, done. Keep Loom for quick demos and use Synthesia for anything you will have to maintain.
