Answer
What does AI training cost per employee, and which pricing model fits?
List price per seat is the starting point, not always the deal: Scholé publishes $99 per month for Pro and $95 per person per month for Teams, and quotes organizations over 100 people, where active-user, pooled-seat and flat-fee models are common requests.
Three things set the price of AI training: how many people, how they are counted and how long you commit. Per-seat pricing charges for everyone with access. Active-user pricing charges for people who used it in a period. A flat fee covers a site, a team or the whole organization. Per seat is simple for a small, stable team. For large or changing groups, such as contractors, students or customers, counting active users or pooling seats tracks real use more closely.

How do you choose a pricing model for AI training?
Count who will really use it
Separate people who need ongoing access from people who need it once, such as new hires in their first months or customers during onboarding. The second group is what makes per-seat pricing expensive.
Match the model to the pattern
Stable teams fit per seat. Rotating or seasonal learners fit active-user pricing or a pool of seats you can reassign. A single site, store or department can fit a flat fee.
Ask what counts as active
Definitions vary: one login in a year, ten minutes of use, a lesson completed. The definition can change the bill more than the rate does.
Price the pilot separately
A paid pilot with a fixed fee and an end date is a different purchase from the rollout. Agree the rollout price before the pilot starts, so a good result does not weaken your position.
Compare against what you already spend
Set the quote beside your current course library and the staff time spent building and running training. That is the budget it replaces or joins.
Is per-seat pricing a bad deal?
No. For a team whose members all need ongoing access, a seat is the simplest and most predictable unit. It becomes a poor fit when many of the people counted are occasional, temporary or external, such as contractors, members, seasonal staff and customers, or when the group is very large.
What does Scholé cost?
Free is $0 for 2 lessons with no card. Pro is $99 per month or $999 per year. Teams is $95 per person per month with a 2 person minimum and $75 per month for each additional person, or $950 and $750 per person per year. Organizations over 100 people are quoted.
Plans are annual and billed monthly, and paying yearly costs less. Scholé’s pricing page states that large teams receive volume discounts.
Where Scholé fits
- You want published prices and self-serve checkout for a small team, without a sales call.
- You have more than 100 learners and want a quoted rate with volume discounts.
Where Scholé is not the answer
- You need a published active-user or flat-fee price list. Scholé publishes per-person prices only, so ask the team whether another structure is available.
- You want a broad catalog of pre-recorded courses on every subject. A course marketplace is built for that, and Scholé generates lessons instead.
- Your budget only covers a one-time workshop. A subscription is the wrong shape for a single session.
